Welcome to Leviathan! We are currently recruiting new members to join our ranks and progress into 25man Ulduar. If you are a new recruit, or thinking about joining, these are some basic things we expect: Guild Raiding
Raiding is a beautiful thing. It is what we do for shits and giggles. It is why we pursue those shiny purples - so we can go kick a new boss squire in the nuts. We are a PvE guild, we have a thirst for new content.
We aren't exactly a hardcore guild, but we also want raids to go as smooth as possible so we raid with the following requirements.
Programs
Teamspeak
- Most raiders know of this (refer to TeamSpeak Section) - If you cant figure it out then don't bother signing. You do not need a mic ( it helps out when abusing Kaze) but you do need it to listen, there is a lot of 'mid-fight' action/instructions that need to be heard.
Threat meter
- If you don't have one of these by now, then you need help. Make sure its up-to-date and you actually acknowledge it. 'My threat meter wasn't working' Is not an excuse. Over aggro'ing is nothing to be proud of.
Boss mods
- Essential for raiders. Know what he/she/it is gonna do and when. Watch the Cool-down timers and get ready. These mods are a life saver during boss encounters, make sure you have your. BigWigs and Deadly Boss Mods are the main two used.
Times and dates
25 man - Wednesday, Friday, Sunday 10 man - Tuesday (Check Raid calendar)
Raid times are from 8 game time till 11 game time+
Invites start around 7.45, you are required to be summoned and inside the instance at 8gametime unless given prior notice.
We use DKP for 25man loot distribution - Minus DKP will be actioned for..
- Late to raid - Non-attendance if signed - Leaving before 11gametime - Progression raid, not having full consumable buffs
(Totally at the discretion of Leviathan management)
Prior notice can be done by contacting the raid leader and/or making the relevant notes on the raid calendar/forums at least 24 hours before raid-time.
Sign-ups
You will be invited via the ingame calendar.
It greatly helps our raid-leaders when you declare that you will NOT be able to attend.
** There are far too many raiders who do not use the web/site forums. This is where a lot of the officers etc pool their thoughts and help shape the guild. If you don't make your contribution then don't bitch when we don't meet your needs**
Please Note
Use some common sense. Its a hard job trying to please everyone when making raid selection. If its a progression raid and your new to the guild, you may miss out due to you being 'unproven'. If its a progression raid and you still have a few blues - you may not get in due to gear. Progression raids are gear dependant and we do not want to be carrying anyone who is not able to output as at that level. Hopefully this will push people into farming heroics for badge gear, crafting new purples whatever. As for farm content it is open to anyone, within reason (greens are not for raiding). to help gear and prep people for our progression pushes.
Make my life easier and sign for what you are ready for. We are not a 'boosting' guild. If your a DPS class and the tanks do more/equal damage - gear up. If your a healer and you do 1% raid heals - gear up.
If you feel your getting hard done by regarding raid selection. Speak up. Spam the forums, that's what they are here for. Even a quiet /w in-game.
But for the love of god, DO NOT /w during invites 'WHEN CAN I HAS INVITE PLXP0R?!?!?!?!!?' and do not spam in g 'WHEN DO INVITES START' we raid the same time, EVERY raid night.
Have Fun!
Turn up, have fun. Its easy. Killing new bosses, learning new fights is awesome. Be part of it. If it is a wipe-fest, don't be downhearted its all part of being in a progression guild and when you do finally get the kill - damn its a good feeling.
Have fun and kill shit.
